DVSP Trail Maintenance Days signup sheet

Join us for some trail work at DVSP.

There are over 20 miles of trails to maintain at this State Park. Volunteers on the ground really help the Park Staff make sure trails are in good condition and usable by our visitors and park vehicles.

Stay for the whole scheduled trail time or only come for a few hours. Trail maintenance days will typically last 4 hrs to allow time to get to and from work areas. Scheduled work days will be weather dependent. Notifications will be sent to volunteers if there is a cancellation.

What to expect: Our trail volunteers will typically hike out to the starting location and we carry all our equipment with us. Expect to hike at least 1 mile to the starting location on various terrain. Low water crossings may be required. We only use hand tools as volunteers such as loppers, pruners and hand saws. Volunteers may bring their own equipment. We take note of any larger trees that may need chain saw work at a later date. As we hike through the park, we will also pick up any debris.

What to bring: Plenty of fluids, snacks, work gloves and dress for the weather.

Where to meet on scheduled days: We will meet at the Park Store parking lot unless noted otherwise in pre-event emails.
