Fort Washington - Newrez LLC - National Cybersecurity Awareness Month - Volunteer Sign-up Sheet
Newrez LLC invites Temple University IT/MIS majors to run our employee events this October for National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
Event Details:
Location: 601 Office Ctr Dr Ste. 100, Fort Washington, PA 19034
Park in lot outside Newrez LLC. At the building entrance call front desk via call button, check-in with front desk and receive packet instructions. More details will be sent to your email upon sign up!
[Event 1] "CyberFlix & Kahoot" - Newrez LLC employees are invited to a Netflix-style cybersecurity screening with popcorn and beverages. Students needed for room setup, event hosting, and event tear down. Hosting this event includes streaming the videos, and hosting the Kahoot game (Kahoot game will be created by Newrez LLC team).
[Event 2] "Paint & Sip" - Newrez LLC employees will gather to paint and engage in cybersecurity conversation via conversational cards placed on the tables. Non-alcoholic mocktails and snacks provided. Students needed for room setup, event hosting, and event tear down. A Newrez LLC information security subject matter expert (SME) will attend this event alongside the student(s).
[Event 3 (Artist)] "Paint & Sip" - Art painter needed to assist employees in painting a colorful image. Image provided upon request, email genet.kidane@newrez.com. Painter will receive photo image upon volunteer sign-up. Paints and canvas provided.
[Event 4] "Interactive Display" - Newrez LLC employees are invited to engage in an interactive display, open to visit during work hours. The display is a small room filled with balloons, and employees are instructed to pop 2 specific balloons to claim a cybersecurity prize or challenge. Students needed for event setup. Our biggest need for volunteers is in the event setup, which will require filling a lot of balloons (air pumps provided)!
Participation in these events will introduce you to a hands-on experience of celebrating National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in a real-world way. No cybersecurity experience necessary. You will be provided with a packet detailing potential cybersecurity related Q&As that may be useful when engaging in employees to spread awareness. You will be doing Newrez LLC a great service by volunteering, and we want to provide you with a smooth experience and positive outlook on cybersecurity in the workplace. The event coordinator will be available remotely during all events for any and all guidance that you may need!
