The Palo Alto Black & White Ball is on Friday, October 4 2019 from 7-midnight. Come join the team putting on this fun, community event. The ball is made up of a 100% volunteer team and we need your help to make the event a success. This event is the signature event celebrating Palo Alto's 125th Birthday and the Palo Alto Weekly's 40th Anniversary.
Please take a minute to sign up below for volunteer slots at the event! All volunteers will receive a special access neon green bracelet. This bracelet will give you access to a volunteer only lounge that will include refreshments and quiet area to relax. If you would like to enjoy the evening as a guest outside of your volunteer shift we request that you purchase a ticket. A 50% discount ticket can be purchased on eventbrite.
All volunteers must be 21 years and older. Volunteers are not allowed to drink alcohol before or during their shift hours. Our volunteers will be the eyes and ears of the organizers, please report anything that you feel is unsafe to event staff that will be designated to each area. Volunteers are welcome to dress up for the party and/or simply wear an all black outfit.
Tasks for the Ball will include: check-in/sales table, coat check, food/beverage monitoring, guest assistance with directions, band assistance and more. Once you sign up for a shift, we will send you details about your volunteer task.
