Volunteers are to report to the main door just off of the east parking lot at Jackson Middle School located at 301 Jackson, Villa Park, IL 60181. You will be greeted by a volunteer captain who will have you complete a volunteer waiver upon arrival. You will then proceed to a space where you will receive further information about your assignment as well as gloves to wear. Volunteers may bring their own mask to wear. Please be mindful of social distancing while you are receiving further information about your shift.

Volunteers will then board onto a school bus (only two adult volunteers per bus). On the bus, there will be tally sheets, curriculum files, milk crates, and prepackaged food. The tally sheets will be used by one of the volunteers to record how many meals are distributed. The milk, prepackaged food, and curriculum files will be distributed to parents/children at the bus stops on your route. Volunteers distributing food will stand in the doorway of the bus as parents/children approach the bus. At the conclusion of the route, volunteers will return to Jackson Middle School where tally sheets and any remaining food/milk will be turned back into the District 45/Arbor Management Team.

All Volunteers are to be at least 16 years of age and free of fever, rashes, and communicable diseases. If you have or suspect that you have been exposed to COVID-19, we thank you for your desire to support, but we ask that you please stay home and take care of your health. Volunteers may bring their children five years and older with them for this activity. Children must be healthy, free of fever, rash, communicable diseases, and not have or been exposed to COVID-19.

Please know that we expect things to run smoothly, but we know that there may be hiccups as we get our routine down. If you have any questions, please see your volunteer captain.
