Fall 2026 Evening Volunteer Times signup sheet

***PLEASE READ BELOW — SOME THINGS HAVE CHANGED***

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Backpack Buddies! We are incredibly grateful for each and every person who gives their time to serve with us. Our volunteers are such an important part of what we do, and we truly could not do it without you!
We have added several evening packing opportunities and may add additional nights as the need arises. Because we have so many wonderful people wanting to volunteer each year, we have made a few changes to help give as many people as possible the opportunity to serve.

A Few Important Sign-Up Guidelines
Please only sign up the family members who will actually be attending. This helps us keep our numbers accurate and allows more families the opportunity to volunteer.
At this time, please sign up for only ONE date. We want to give as many volunteers as possible the chance to participate.
If you would like to volunteer more than once, please check the sign-up sheet again during the week of your desired date. Last-minute openings often become available, and you are welcome to sign up if a spot opens!

Children & Volunteers
This sign-up is for middle school-aged children (age 12+) through adults.
You are absolutely welcome to bring younger children along to volunteer with your family! However, please do not add children under age 12 to the sign-up sheet. This helps us accurately determine how many older children and adults will be attending so we can ensure we have enough adult volunteers to safely and efficiently pack.

There is no need to reserve a spot for children under age 12.

Groups of 5 or More
If you have a group of 5 or more who would like to volunteer together, please email Nicole as soon as possible to be added to our group waitlist.
The sooner you reach out, the easier it will be for us to find a date that works for your group. Please keep in mind that group opportunities may not be available until spring.

Please come on the date and at the time you selected when signing up. A reminder email will be sent approximately two days before your volunteer date.

❤️ One Small Way to Make an Even Bigger Difference
We would be incredibly grateful if each volunteer could bring individual cups of fruit when you come to volunteer!
It has become increasingly difficult for us to obtain certain foods through the Atlanta Food Bank. Bringing a few individual fruit cups is one small but meaningful way you can help us meet the needs of the children we serve — in addition to helping us pack their bags.

Every item donated truly helps, and we appreciate your generosity more than we can say. Thank you in advance for helping us in this additional way!
