Join us in creating a warm and welcoming space for community members in need by volunteering at our upcoming Holiday Community Meal event. This event provides food, comfort, and connection during the holiday season, and we need your help to make it happen! Choose from various shifts based on your interests and skills, and lend your support in the kitchen, dining area, or welcoming our guests.
Volunteer Shift Descriptions:
Kitchen Help
Assist with event set-up and help safely heat lasagnas, prepare salads, and ensure meals are ready to serve. Afterward, assist with cleaning and packing up.
Plating/Serving
Serve food portions onto plates for our guests, ensuring everyone gets a delicious and nourishing meal. Stay afterward to help clean and pack up.
Bussing/Table Service
Provide table service to our guests, ensuring they feel supported and valued. Duties include clearing plates, wiping tables, assisting elders or people with disabilities, and addressing specific needs. Assist with cleaning and packing up after your shift.
Floater
Be the go-to person for the dining room and kitchen team. Fill drinks, carry food, assist elders or people with disabilities, and engage warmly with guests. Help clean and pack up when the meal concludes.
Greeter
Help direct meal attendees, volunteers, and other guests as they arrive. This role involves welcoming people and ensuring they know where to go. The position is near the building entrance, so please dress warmly. Afterward, assist with cleaning and packing up.
