CoC Connect: Tunnel Rd Community Clean Up 8.25.26 signup sheet

The Community Relations Committee has identified a NEW DATE for the community clean up event. The CoC membership and community is invited to join the CoC Connect: Tunnel Rd Clean Up on TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 2026 beginning at 10am. Volunteers will form teams to collect litter and help improve the conditions of our community space along Tunnel Rd.

Team Leader opportunities are open to people who have personal experience of homelessness or have engaged people in a housing crisis. They will guide your team to their assigned cleanup zone, assist volunteers in following safety guidelines, monitor the team's progress and assist with supply management. Leaders also serve as the primary point of contact during the event if there are any issues or questions.

Event Details:
Date: August 25, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – Noon
Location: Well Care/Carolina Complete Health, 150 Tunnel Rd, Asheville

To ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable, please bring a bag or backpack to carry items.
Bring the following items, if you have them:
A reusable water bottle
Closed-toe, sturdy shoes and long pants
Work gloves and a hat
Sunscreen
Rain gear (if weather dictates)
Any personal emergency medical items (e.g., epi-pens)

The CoC is collecting donations in order to provide buckets, trash grabbers, contractor bags, safety vests, first aid kits, water, and snacks. Each team will also carry resource brochures if people need additional information about services available.
