Role Overview: Lounge 5 Volunteer

Lounge 5 Hospitality Volunteers help create a welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for guests, performers, vendors, and event partners visiting one of the Fair's premier hospitality spaces. Volunteers play an important role in keeping the lounge clean, organized, and inviting while providing exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth operation of the space.

Responsibilities:
Welcome guests, artists, vendors, sponsors, and event partners with a friendly, positive attitude.
Bus and reset tables to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment.
Monitor the lounge throughout your shift, collecting dishes, wiping tables, and replenishing supplies as needed.
Assist artists, vendors, and special guests by providing directions, answering questions, or connecting them with Fair staff when needed.
Support catering and bar service by helping maintain guest areas (food and beverage service is handled by designated staff).
Help keep the lounge stocked with supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
Assist with general hospitality duties and special requests as assigned by the Lounge Supervisor.
Work collaboratively with fellow volunteers and staff to ensure a positive guest experience.
Skills & Qualities:
Friendly, welcoming, and customer-focused.
Enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life.
Organized and attentive to cleanliness and detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
Willing to stay active throughout the shift.
Time Commitment:

Shifts are available daily during the Fair (October 6–12, 2026).

Volunteers may choose day or evening shifts, with flexibility appreciated during meal periods and entertainment times.
