Alberta's Largest LEGO Event Brick Roundup needs volunteers! brickroundup.com
Our event Brick Roundup returns to Calgary October 17-18, 2026, with more LEGO® fun for the entire family!
- LEGO® builds and displays with 100s of creations featuring themes, characters and settings that you know and love.
- Vendor market where you can shop for your favourite minifigures, sets and LEGO® inspired items.
- Brick talks where you can learn more about the hobby and how to improve your building skills from SALUG members and guests.
- Special guests from around North America: meet and hear from personalities in the LEGO® community.
- The public will have the opportunity to play and build in our Brick pit area, or build some of the Botanicals and add them to our flower wall.
Location: MacEwan Hall at the University of Calgary
Set up: Friday, October 16 (12pm - 8pm)
Show Hours: Saturday, October 17 (10am – 5pm) Shifts start at 8:30am & go until 5:30pm
Show Hours: Sunday, October 18 (10am – 4pm) Shift start at 9:00am & Teardown until 7pm
We have a variety of flexible roles to match your interests and availability, & Most of the shifts are 1.5 hours in length.
- Public Play Brick Area: This is a fun job where you get to play with LEGO while you're supporting the public to build/play. The shifts are 1.5 hours, and you are really helping pick up bricks and making sure no one is taking anything away from the area.
- Public Build Activity: We have Flowers that get built and attached to a wall. You would be assisting with handing out sets and instructions to interested people and then attaching them to the wall with an axle.
- Exit & Voting Table: On the show floor, we need volunteers to remind guests to vote and no reentry to the hall without a stamp/badge/wristband.
- Ticket Scanners: Must be 18+ as you will be scanning prepaid tickets before guests enter the hall.
- Setup (Pre-Event): This is happening Friday afternoon. We will need help with several tasks pre-event, like setting up tables, signage, and decorations before doors open.
- Teardown & Clean Team (Post-Event): Help pack up supplies and tidy the venue after the event wraps up on Sunday after 5:00 pm.
Help us with Community Impact: Help bring a memorable experience to hundreds of local families.
Volunteer Perk: All volunteers receive tickets for a draw for LEGO sets at our closing ceremony; the more shifts you work, the more tickets you get. Complimentary event entry to the event, where you can check out before or after your volunteer shift.
Hours Collected: We can provide a letter of recommendation from our club SALUG.
