Volunteers are needed for our newest outreach activity coming this October 3, 2026. Pat Miller, the founder of Art on the Avenue (AOA) in Alexandria, a well-known festival that has been around for over 25 years, has invited NCAGG to participate this year in two ways. First, we’ll be providing a glass-related children’s activity on the field under a tent. For this activity, we will replicate what we did at. The Big Build and the Sunflower Bakery events. Second, we’ll have a team of two or three glass artists to demonstrate their craft and sell their work just off the Avenue on the other side of the vendors row. Stained glass and mosaic demos might work best.
Just so you know, AOA is a bit different from our usual events because it’s all outdoors and we’ll need a 10x10 tent to set up. We’ll need to ask a Guild member if they have one we can borrow.
This year, Art on the Avenue is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. The event typically attracts over 25,000 attendees. There is no booth fee for NCAGG, as AOA welcomes nonprofits and individuals like us to participate. Learn more about AOA here.
