This form is submit a personal nomination for the PAC Executive and Committee for 2024 25 school year.
Please only nominate yourself, not everyone like surprises. If you are new to PAC don't be concerned there is lots of support.
Note, these role are volunteers only, no monetary or business gains offered. See below for our PAC goals.

SUNNYSIDE PAC GOALS
Our goal is to promote the education and welfare of our students
by strengthening communication between parents and the administration,
by building our community through school events that promote belonging and celebration,
by encouraging parent involvement in the school,
by enhancing extracurricular opportunities for our students through fundraisers, and
by providing opportunities for children and families to participate in charitable giving.

Chairperson:The PAC spokesperson. Prepares the agenda, and chairs all meetings. Appoints committees where authorized to do so by the executive or membership. Consults PAC members regularly. Oversees school events, and ensures PAC activities are aimed at achieving our official goals.

Vice Chairperson: Assumes the duties of the Chairperson in the Chairperson's absence, or upon request. Assists the Chairperson at all meetings and events. Accepts extra duties as required. Keeps an up-to-date copy of the Constitution and Bylaws and has copies available for members upon request. Submits an annual report.

Treasurer: Receives and disburses funds authorized by the executive or members. Maintains an accurate record of all expenses. Deposits all funds in an account at a recognized financial institution approved by the PAC. Is present at all fundraising events to receive and deposit funds. Reports financial transactions at monthly PAC meetings. Assists the Executive in preparing an annual budget. Makes the books available for viewing by members upon request (in the presence of the Treasurer or a designated executive member). Has the books ready for inspection or audit annually. Secretary: Ensures that members are notified of meetings. Records the minutes of all meetings, and distributes them to the PAC Executive and Principals. Adds the agendas and minutes of all meetings to the PAC website. Ensures a monthly PAC Newsletter is published, with help from the PAC Exec. Sends and receives correspondence/email on behalf of the organization. Creates notices and posters for events and fundraisers, with the fundraising coordinator(s). Maintains all PAC records and documents, except the financial documents. Updates and maintains the PAC’s Social Media platforms (PAC Website, PAC Facebook page)

Fundraising Coordinator lead: Works with the PAC executives to plan and run all fundraising events. Liaises with the Secretary to create notices and posters for events and fundraisers. Liaises with the Volunteer coordinator to ensure there are enough volunteers for events. Ensures compliance to the handling and reconciliation of monies received from fundraising events. Creates a Fundraising Report for each fundraising activity upon its completion. Helps the PAC Secretary maintain PAC’s social media platforms.

Hot Lunch Coordinator lead: Works with the PAC executives to plan and run all hot lunches. Liaises with the vendors & volunteers to ensure oversight and coverage for distribution. Ensures compliance to food safe.

DPAC Representative: Attends all meetings of District #36 Parent Advisory Council and represents, speaks, and votes on behalf of the PAC. Maintains current registration of the PAC (BCCPAC). Reports regularly to the membership and executive on all matters relating to the DPAC. (At monthly PAC meetings.) Receives, circulates, and posts DPAC announcements. Accepts other duties as required.
