Sept 8 Walk-up Pantry @ CMC signup sheet

Help us staff our walkup pantry for Free Grocery Store on Tuesday, Sept 8 at the Civic Media Center (433 S Main St).

Pickup [not needed until OCT]- facillitator will contact you with details. Usually it is picking up from Working Food or a farm
Setup- move rolling bookshelves to clear main space, set up folding tables (found in SKA) & set chairs/benches in courtyard
Sorting- wash hands &/or glove up, check perishables for Quality (compost as needed), organize food in an accessible manner
Courtyard- call in folks to shop, ensure water/drinks are available outside, answer questions, invite folks to use the craft supplies
Comms (bilingual)- Translate, answer questions, etc
Scale- Help folks weigh out, take numbered slips, write down weights
Cleanup- break down cardboard, sanitize coolers if used, wipe & put away tables, sweep the main room, cleaning

All volunteers are required to wear a mask inside the Civic Media Centers and we can provide masks. Please to do not volunteer if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or other contagions in the past 2 weeks.
Volunteers who are minors need to be accompanied by an adult.

No previous experience is required for the roles listed here, questions can be answered at pantries. Ask your fellow volunteers!
