September 2026 Market Pet Food Express Adoption Event (Transport + Event Volunteers Needed!) signup sheet

Join us for our monthly adoption event at Pet Food Express on Market Street in San Francisco! Snacks will be provided for volunteers, and a water fountain and restrooms will be available on site. Parking is available behind the store in the FedEx parking lot, and the location is also accessible by public transportation. Additionally, there's a Whole Foods across the street, making it a convenient option for coffee or lunch breaks.

When: SUNDAY, September 13th
Where?: Pet Food Express, 1975 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94103
Time:⏰ 11AM - 3PM

Transportation Help Needed!!!

AM Transport: Dog pickup will be at 9:00 am at our shelter in Sonoma (1755 Napa Rd., Sonoma, CA)
PM Transport: Dogs pick up will be once the event ends at 3:00pm at Pet Food Express in San Francisco.

What needs to be transported: Dogs: We will have about 4-6 dogs at our event. Each dog will be transported in a crate, which we will provide. Depending on sizes of dogs, two may share a crate. Crates will be dropped off at event unless AM transport volunteers to also do PM transport. Dogs may be transported in two separate cars depending on car sizes. Each dog will be harnessed in their crate and will have either the leash attached to them or attached to their crate.

The drive may take anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on traffic. The drive is beautiful! If you love to be behind the wheel and would like to potentially change the lives of some dogs, please consider signing up! We ask for at least a 2-day notice if you end up being unable to help with transport. If volunteer slots are filled and you would like to be backup for transport, please send me a separate email or text message.

Volunteers for Pet Food Express:
Depending on how many volunteers we get, each volunteer will be assigned to a dog. Volunteers are able to switch dogs throughout the event, as well as take breaks. Volunteers will learn more about the pups who attend the event throughout the day, we ask volunteers to be their voices and help our pups find loving homes. Volunteers do not need to volunteer thought the whole event. If volunteer slots are filled, feel free to still swing by to help in any way possible!
