CCCHG 2026-2027 Duty Signup

Welcome!
CCCHG is organized and run by all volunteers, including the parents/guardians. We ask that each family fulfill a duty in one capacity, with one event per school calendar year, which runs August 1st - May 30th, in order to provide engaging educational and social activities, along with support to all our members.

If for any reason your event is canceled due to sign-ups, or weather we do ask that you re-schedule your event or sign up to serve in another capacity. All events need to be scheduled prior to the end of our calendar year, which is May 30th.

We have come up with some suggested event slots below to help round out the calendar and make sure there is something fun for members to choose from on a regular basis. Please select an event that suits you and your family best to serve and enter your information into the appropriate slot. We reserve a few slots for new members as helpers, to come alongside seasoned members who are leading events. Once you have signed up to lead or help with an event, please put it in your calendar. We will do our best to contact you, with a reminder email when your event is approaching, as well as connect you with others signed up for your event, but ultimately the responsibility for planning is yours. The difference between a field trip and a social event, is that a field trip generally has an educational component attached to it, while a social event is geared towards building community within our group.

If you are unsure of what to plan, please see the tab labeled “Event Ideas” under the event tab. This will list past activities that our group has enjoyed and help to guide you in your planning. If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our event coordinator. We do ask that you submit your event at least 4 weeks in advance, giving the event time to be posted as well as families a reasonable amount of time to plan to attend. The lead of the event will fill out the “Event Planning Worksheet”, which is also located under the event tab on our website. If your event has a cost associated with it, and the money needs to be collected prior to the event, please allow extra time and we will work with our treasurer to see how best to handle finances.

NOTE: If you choose not to plan/help with an event, you may select the $50 opt-out fee below and our treasurer will add that to your balance due. If you sign up to serve and are unable to fulfill your volunteer requirement, a $100 opt fee will be assessed.

To summarize:
* All members must be listed in a position below to fulfill the service portion of the CCCHG group membership requirement.
* You must attend the event you plan.
* Posting a community event that you did not plan does not constitute a field trip or social event.
Thanks in advance for your creative ideas, and the sacrifice of your time and effort. We are looking forward to a great year packed full of exciting events!
