Powhatan State Park is preparing to open its campgrounds on March 1st! Before they open, we are looking for a few volunteers to come out and help us tidy up.
Our Group Campground needs to be cleared of downed limbs/sticks and trash, and the debris needs to be blown off the site. Campsite clearing should only take 1-2 hours maximum.
The park will provide gas-powered leaf blowers and all the necessary PPE (Gloves, eyewear, ear protection).
A safety and use demo for the leaf blowers will be given prior to beginning cleanup.
Not recommended for volunteers under 16.
