We will be planting on Friday 23rd , Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February 2024. Just select the row or rows below for the days you can come and add your details.

As a volunteer, we’d love you to join the planting team for an evening meal on us in Wiveliscombe on Saturday so please do sign up for dinner too if you are around.

How will it work?
No prior tree planting knowledge is necessary – one of our team will be on hand to show you what to do. All you will need are some wellies or sturdy boots, warm and dry winter clothing, a pair of gardening gloves and a love of the great outdoors.

Each day, we will start at 10am and finish at 4.00pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided along with a roll and a bowl of hearty vegetarian soup at lunchtimes. Of course, feel free to bring your own food and drink as well. You are welcome to plant with us for the whole weekend or equally just a for a couple of hours according to what works for you.

Staying locally
For those of you that might need accommodation we have reserved a number of rooms at the White Hart Hotel in Wiveliscombe. If you contact them and book a room before the 11th February as part of the Wood Could Should party you will receive a 10% discount on the normal rate which includes breakfast.

Getting there
The field is regrettably only accessible by car and is located on Bullock Field Hill, Stawley TA21 0HW opposite ‘The Park’. What.3.words location: speakers.lawfull.corkscrew. Google maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6jZkzJaepM9Koghw7?g_st=iw

From Wellington, take the A38 west and at the top of Whiteball Hill turn right signed to Greenham. Continue on this road following signs to Greenham and Ashbrittle. From the centre of Greenham continue towards Appley. After approximately 0.7 miles turn right signed to Stawley and Kittisford. After a further 0.2 miles, and before the Globe Inn, take the left signed to Stawley and Ashbrittle. Follow this road for about 1.2 miles into Stawley before turning right signed to Kittisford and Bathealton. The gate to the West Field is on the right hand side after approximately 0.25 miles opposite the bungalow.
