Every year, Kiwanis teams up with Salvation Army and Walmart to help children shop for Christmas gifts for their family. This year, we will be shopping on Saturday December 7th. Salvation Army selects 20 children of need, to pair up with a Kiwanis volunteer to shop for Christmas gifts for their household family. Walmart hosts the shopping and provides gathering space in their employee breakroom. Walmart also provides donuts, coffee, and juice for all as they gather to prepare for shopping plus they provide wrapping supplies and help fund the Kiwanis shopping budget. When the shopping is completed, the children and some of the shoppers, joining waiting Kiwanians back at the Salvation Army to help the children wrap their gifts before sending them home with their parents and a lot of Christmas cheer!
