2024 Ottawa River Paddle Challenge signup sheet

Event Date: September 14, 2024
Event Location: Ottawa River Canoe Club

This year’s Ottawa River Paddle Challenge will be held on September 14th – we’re excited for another great event and hope for a fantastic turnout.
To ensure the event’s success, we will be in need of lots of helpers. We’ll be looking for volunteers to help out with the following teams:

Parking Team: Parking and boat unloading help
Registration Team: Registration, Info/Help to registrants
Lunch Team: prepare, serve, clean up
Race Team: Officials, Timers, Finish Line Spotters
Safety Boat Teams: Drivers and Spotters
Sponsorship/Prize Support (this role would involve some work in the months leading up to the event to solicit sponsors and prizes and some coordination work in the week prior; e.g. pick up prizes)

We are very happy to sign-off on high school volunteer hours. Volunteers need to be at least 12 years old.

Note: Exact timing of shifts subject to change

***Delays can happen due to weather or other circumstances. If necessary, the races will be postponed up to 2 hours before cancelling. If you aren’t available past the 2 hours as indicated on the sign up, please advise us by emailing orpc@orcc.ca.
