It’s almost time for FCEG’s annual habitat restoration workday at Busse Woods! We’ll be assisting at workday on Sunday November 12 from 9am to 12pm. Lunch will be served by 12pm, so plan to stick around.
Date: Sunday 11/12
Time: 9am to 12pm
Place: Busse Main Dam entrance. Arlington Heights Rd and Edgeware. Parking lot just past the bike trail crossing.
What to bring/expect:
• Wear clothing that can get dirty, long pants, long sleeved shirts, socks, sturdy shoes
• We will be removing invasive brush with hand tools and burning it on a bonfire
Volunteers will be working to restore a unique, rich, and diverse habitat by removing invasive plants, such as buckthorn. Here are some other details to be aware of:
• Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to participate in this workday
• Tools and gloves will be provided
• Refreshments and lunch will be provided
