10/7/23 Nature Is Unmatched Hike + Obstacle Course at Robinson Nature Center signup sheet
Join Robinson Nature Center and Unmatched Athlete for an afternoon of movement in the outdoors with fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community. Test out your agility with an obstacle course, join a naturalist for a hike, and end the day with s’mores around a fire.
This program is designed to be a safe space for LGBTQ+ folks to feel comfortable expressing their true selves amongst their peers and our LGBTQ+ staff. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The event is FREE; and ALL families and allies 5 & up are welcome to attend!
We are seeking volunteers to help with tabling and running our obstacle course activity for the event.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for volunteers interested in tabling will be to assist with checking people in and handing out wristbands. Other duties may include collecting donations, selling merchandise, and taking photos.
Volunteers interested in running the obstacle course scavenger hunt and hiking activity will be tasked with working with Robinson Nature Center staff to help youth through the activities. Instructions of how each of the activities will be run will be provided at the event. The most important skill required for this task is to have fun with everyone participating in the activities :-)
