SPECIAL NOTE: It would be very helpful if some of the outreach service volunteers for this event have (or had) a connection to Schlumberger and/or the local Sugar Land area. Definitely not required, but would really help to connect with the event host and the anticipated attendees.
EVENT: Annual Earth Day event @ Schlumberger's Sugar Land Campus
WHEN: Wednesday, April 17, 2024 @ 10:15 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. (Actual Event Run Time: 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.)
WHERE: Schlumberger Campus, near the "Island Exhibit," 210 Schlumberger, Sugar Land, TX 77478
SERVICE: Volunteers will assist with the initial setup, staffing and ultimate breakdown of a GCTMN booth which will serve as a place of outreach focus for our chapter during this Schlumberger hosted event to help their employees and others better understand and appreciate environment sustainability and service for Earth Day 2024. A number of environmental themed and focused booths will also be present and participate in the event. The messaging of our booth for this year's event will be to provide general information about our Master Naturalist chapter. Further, information about the State's Texas Master Naturalist program and the role of informed volunteers in our mission will be shared. Our booth will be indoors in climate controlled conditions. If you have questions about the event and / or your planned volunteer outreach service, please contact David Gwin, Outreach & Communications, GCTMN at david.gwin@txgcmn.org.
