Green Thumbs UP in July signup sheet

Volunteer at Green Thumbs UP, a green roof urban farm located at 585 Dundas St E, 3rd floor of the Daniels Spectrum Building in Regent Park.

ORIENTATION sessions are for first time volunteers. If you didn't volunteer with Green Thumbs in 2025 and have not volunteered with us this year, you must attend an orientation session. You will receive an email the day of your Orientation session with information on where to meet and what to bring. All orientation sessions are half an hour long, with the option to stay longer for a garden work session.

Garden Work sessions are a wide range of activities according to the needs of the garden. There will be a variety of tasks to be done, such as weeding, planting, working with irrigation and other equipment, monitoring for pests, and creating new garden spaces. All Garden Work sessions are 1.5 hours long.

Harvest sessions are Tuesday mornings and we will be harvesting produce for our farmer's market. Together we will learn different harvest practices and how to prepare and store the produce to get it ready for market. As the season goes on, we will also get into flower bouquet arrangements!

Note: If a garden work session has only 1 person signed up, it may get canceled.
