Join the PSG Spirit Wear Crew
Looking for a consistent volunteer role for the school year?
With our Spirit Wear store now open year-round, we’re building a dedicated Spirit Wear Crew to help get orders from Blair Sports into the hands of our Colts.
We’re looking for approximately 4–5 parent volunteers, plus one Spirit Wear Crew Lead, who can learn the process and become our regular Spirit Wear team from October through the end of June.
Your Volunteer Commitment
Spirit Wear orders will generally be picked up and distributed approximately once per month.
A typical month will include:
Pickup & Driving — approx. 30 minutes: Pick up the Spirit Wear order from Blair Sports and bring it to the school.
Sorting — approx. 30–45 minutes: Organize the pre-bagged orders by classroom, check orders and separate anything requiring special handling.
Classroom Delivery — approx. 30–45 minutes: Deliver completed orders to classrooms and make sure remaining orders are accounted for.
This works out to approximately 1.5–2 hours of volunteer time per month.
The responsibilities can be shared among the crew, so you do not necessarily need to complete every part of the process each month.
When Will We Do It?
Pickup, sorting and delivery will take place during school hours.
Last year, we generally completed deliveries around 11:00 AM–1:00 PM, which may work well for parents with daytime flexibility or the ability to help over a lunch break.
We won't set one permanent day and time. As a crew, we'll coordinate each month and choose a day and time that works best for our volunteers whenever possible.
No Experience Needed — We’ll Train You
You do not need any previous Spirit Wear experience.
Sara, PSG Social Chair & Spirit Wear Coordinator, will train and support the crew throughout the year.
Our goal is to create a regular group of volunteers who know the process, making each monthly pickup and delivery easier for everyone.
The crew will learn how to:
Coordinate and complete pickups from Blair Sports
Bring orders to the school
Obtain class lists from the office
Sort orders by classroom
Identify and set aside gift orders
Deliver orders to classrooms
Coordinate orders requiring parent pickup
Make sure all orders are accounted for
Want to Lead the Crew?
We’re also looking for one Spirit Wear Crew Lead who would like to make this their dedicated PSG volunteer role for the year.
The Crew Lead will work directly with Sara from October through June. Together, we’ll help establish the process, train and organize the volunteer crew, coordinate monthly deliveries and work with Blair Sports as needed.
The Crew Lead will help with:
Training and supporting Spirit Wear Crew volunteers
Coordinating monthly pickup and delivery dates with Sara
Confirming volunteer availability
Organizing who will handle pickup, sorting and delivery
Communicating with Blair Sports when needed
Helping oversee sorting and classroom distribution
Making sure gift and parent-pickup orders are handled correctly
Helping keep the Spirit Wear process consistent throughout the school year
You will not be expected to run the program alone. Sara will work alongside you, help with training and coordination, and be available to support you throughout the year.
Crew Lead — Guaranteed 20 Volunteer Hours
Because the Crew Lead is taking on additional coordination, communication and responsibility, the parent who takes on this position will receive a guaranteed 20 volunteer hours for the school year.
If you’re organized, enjoy working with a small team and would like a defined volunteer role where you can take some ownership, this could be a great fit.
