Role Overview:
Fair Information Ambassadors are the friendly, welcoming faces of the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show. They play a key role in helping guests feel comfortable, informed, and excited by providing accurate information, directions, and support across the fairgrounds. Ambassadors ensure every visitor has a positive experience and leaves with lasting memories.
Responsibilities:
Greet fairgoers warmly and provide a friendly first impression of the Fair.
Answer questions about daily schedules, attractions, entertainment, and ticketing.
Direct guests to exhibits, food vendors, rest areas, washrooms, and accessibility services.
Distribute maps, brochures, and event guides.
Assist with wayfinding and crowd flow around busy attractions and stages.
Provide reminders about Fair policies (e.g., safety, accessibility, lost & found).
Act as “mobile guides,” walking the grounds to proactively assist guests.
Help showcase Norfolk County Fair pride by sharing knowledge of traditions, history, and new attractions.
Skills & Qualities:
Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic about community events.
Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with people of all ages.
Helpful, resourceful, and able to problem-solve on the spot.
Team player who enjoys being on the move and interacting with the public.
Knowledge of the Fairgrounds is an asset (training provided).
Time Commitment:
Flexible shifts during the Fair (October 7 – 13, 2025).
