Ushers simply show patrons to their seats, hand them a Playbill, and collect their ticket for return to the Box Office. Concessions are already purchased, you just set everything up on the counter in the lobby. Tickets for the 50/50 drawing are $1 each or six for $5. A winner is drawn at intermission and the winner keeps half the amount collected. The other half goes to BSA.

An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house’s several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on-hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain.

Bellevue Society for the Arts’ 25th Anniversary Season continues with Agatha Christie’s ‘whodunit,’ A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED, Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 1, 2, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. in The Hirt Theater at 205 Maple Street, Bellevue.
