Before you make your selections, we kindly request that you have read the descriptions for each volunteer role and are aware of what is required for the shift you sign up for. Members will not have the ability to edit their selections after the form has been submitted so to avoid additional work for LMHA, please review your choices carefully. Thank you in advance!
For the first 24-hours, members can only sign up for a MAXIMUM of TWO (2) shifts per family. This is so that all members have equal opportunity to volunteer. LMHA will delete shifts for members who exceed the 2-shift maximum. After the 24-hour period, LMHA will notify families that they may fill all remaining shifts on a first come, first served basis.
All Timekeeper and Bench Monitor shifts are scheduled to start and end 15 minutes before / after the scrimmage ice time. Please ensure you check in 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your shift. Members will also be required to log ALL volunteer shifts by using the QR code found at check-in and posted in the lobby at SPX. If you do not log your shift, you will not get credit so this is an important step after each shift. PLEASE DO NOT sign up to be a BENCH MONITOR for your child's group - select the opposing bench.
Do not sign up as HCSP (Hockey Canada Safety Person) unless you are fully certified. If you are not sure, please email info@langleyminorhockey.ca and allow 48 hours for a response.
If for whatever reason, you are unable to make your volunteer shift, you are responsible to cover your shift and inform your Division Manager of the switch.
If you sign up to wash jerseys at the conclusion of Phase 1, please note that you will be required to return the clean jerseys to SPX at the designated time (either later that day or the next morning) depending on the Division. Division Managers will reach out to coordinate this with you.
