Share Spot BFDF signup sheet

UPDATE: as of NOVEMBER, the Share Spot is located in the employee parking lot of the Industrial Credit Union at the corner of Northwest and Maplewood, on the Neto's side of the street. We will need 4 volunteers to run each Share Spot from 10:45-1:00ish on Saturdays. On Friday's we' need one person to drive to Ferndale and pick up food from MFN and one to pick up additional food and supplies from Tina's house in Sunnyland .If you are interested in this task, please let me know and I can give you all of the details before signing up. Also on Fridays, we often are contacted by Cordata Presbyterian after their weekly food share to come and pick up a few boxes of extra food. If you are able to do this task, it would involve driving out there , picking up the boxes and either driving them to the Share Spot directly on Saturday at 11 or dropping the boxes off at Tina's house in Sunnyland on Friday evening. If you have a truck or van, we also need help driving supplies from Tina's house in Sunnyland to the Share spot on Saturday mornings. This will involve some heavy lifting with another person to get things like 1-2 large coolers into your vehicle. Tina is around to help lift things into the car most Saturdays and we can arrange for additional help on days when she cannot help lift. Volunteers are needed during the Share Spot to set up tables, sort food items, welcome and assist our neighbors as they arrive. We need someone to distribute any remaining produce after the Share Spot to the Little Free Food Boxes. Finally for Saturday, we need someone to help unload the van back in Sunnyland after the Share Spot, and to put any remaining frozen or refrigerated items into the fridge/freezer. For Sundays we receive a second delivery of food that is gleaned from Whole Foods. We need one person to return the red crates to Whole Foods that the food comes in, as well as potentially delivering extra refrigerated items to Unity Village (a tiny home community for previously unhoused neighbors). Sunday pick up time from Tina's house is 3pm or later. The Sunday tasks can also be completed on Mondays before 1 pm. One person can do many of these tasks, or many people can work together to do them. We will work it out beforehand each weekend. Also, we need a person to deliver a second round of produce and canned goods to the community food boxes. The timing of both Sunday tasks is flexible, other than that the crates must be back at Whole Foods before 1 on Monday.
