MFH - 9/27/26 - Internment of Ashes for Larry & Darlene Eckstein signup sheet

We have been asked by the family of Larry Eckstein if we would like to participate in the internment of ashes for Larry and his late wife Darlene. Larry was a longstanding member of our Post and one of the last-living WW-II veterans. We can not duplicate an official MFH, each veteran is only allowed one. We can however do a graveside tribute. We'll have a color guard with the US, State & Army flags (if we get enough volunteers), an Honor Guard (rifle squad), a bugler and a tribute reader. The reader would start by reciting the memorial, then we would shoot 3 rifle volleys, then sound taps, finishing with a closing prayer. This will be held at Allenville Cemetery (6629 Hilltop Rd, Oshkosh, WI 54904) on Sunday, 9/27/26. The priest plans to do his blessing starting at 1:00pm. Plan on arriving NLT 12:30 pm (Leave Legion NLT 12:20 pm).
