ARC of Parker County Amateur Radio Technician License Class - 2 Consecutive Saturdays - November 8 and November 15 signup sheet

This is an ARRL Technician License Class that will prepare students who study appropriately to take the Amateur Radio Technican License Exam. This Class occurs on two consecutive Saturdays November 8 and November 15 and is limited to no more than 20 Students.

Pre-Class Requirements (purchase the textbook and be aware of the Exam and FCC License Fees) -
1. Prior to the first Class session on November 8, students will need to purchase the textbook ($32.95) from either Amazon.com or ARRL.org that is entitled "ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 5th Edition". We recommend that you read through at least the first half of the book prior to the first Class that starts at 8:00 AM CDT on Saturday November 8.

2. If you plan to take the Technician License Exam at the end of the second Class on November 15, there is a $15 cash charge to take the Technician License Exam.

3. If you pass the Technician License Exam, there is an additional FCC License cash charge of $35 to pay the FCC for your Technician License (good for 10 years).

4. An FCC Registration Number (FRN#) is required to take the Technician License Exam (FCC link is on the Participant SignUp Sheet)

NOTE - With the current Government Shutdown, the FCC website is not functioning. The ARRL has notified VE Testing Teams that, if necessary, they will "hold on to" test results until an FRN# can be obtained. So, be prepared to wait until the FCC website becomes active again and request your FRN# ASAP (hopefully it will be back up and operational sometime between now and the second Class on November 15).
