Come dressed to be outside -- most volunteer opportunities are outside – the event will run unless it is colder than -25C!

Brief overview of major duties:
Race Office/Bib/Chip Management - You will work with the Race Secretary to hand out bibs to participants Saturday morning at the WNC waxroom; distribute timing chips to participants; collect timing chips at the finish line; and post hardcopy results in the finishers area.
Aid Station Volunteers – You will be stationed at one of the Four Aid Stations on the race course to hand out food and drinks, collect clothing and check on participants.
Controllers - You will record bib numbers to ensure participants take the correct course. Mandatory meeting 9:9:30 Saturday morning at the race office in the stadium (with food pick up and bag drop off for shuttle).
Marshalls - You will provide access and control of the public when intersecting with the race course and participants. Mandatory meeting 9:9:30 Saturday morning at the race office in the stadium (with food pick up and bag drop off for shuttle).
NOTE: All gear/equipment will be transported to Aid Stations by snowmobile. Volunteers will need to ski out to their station. You can drop a gear bag at the Saturday morning meeting (9-9:30) to be taken out by snowmobile. These positions are outside for much of the day, time period will depend on the location.
Timing - You will provide support to ensure accurate results for the event. Some timing volunteers will set up and use technology to record start/split/finish information (Set-up/Data Monitor volunteers ). Others will do non-technical roles at the start and finish.
Finishing Festival – You will help with set-up for the post-race gathering in the Stadium (set up tables, put out food and drinks, test sound system, hand out drink tickets, organize prizes) and help clean-up afterwards.
