You don't want to miss one of the HOTTEST events of the year! Enter your chili for the Cook-Off and have a whole lotta fun at the annual OC Family Fair Chili Cook-Off on Thursday, Aug. 18. To enter your WINNING chili please click on the button below, give your chili a creative name and start planning your booth decor! OCS teams and clubs - get in on the fun and win a prize for your team. Staff and teachers - get your department in on the action - SIGN UP NOW!
Chili Contest Rules:
* Chili must be homemade and available for sampling and judging on Thursday, August 18 starting at 5:00pm.
* Chili contest entrants must provide their own means of keeping their chili hot. Table-top propane stoves are recommended as electricity is not available.
* Provide a minimum of five (5) gallons of chili.
* Be creative! Give your chili a catchy name or name it after your family or team (Touchdown Chili, Slam Dunk Chili, Chili Chili Bang Bang).
* Decorate your chili booth to go along with your chili name or group.
* Don't forget the condiments - cheese, sour cream, jalapeños - anything you think will enhance the flavor of your chili!
* Judges will choose the Overall Best Chili and the Most Creative Chili Booth. The People's Choice Award will be based on the number of tickets collected from the tasters.
* Prizes for the winners! A winning senior family will have their Senior Fees waived. A winning team will receive a $100 gift card towards a team dinner, not to mention Chili Cook-Off bragging rights for a year!
* Tables, tents, tasting spoons and bowls will be provided for participants. Set-up starts at 3pm and tasting will begin at 5pm.
