On the day:
- There will be a 15-minute pickup window at Franklin on Wednesdays between 12:05 and 12:20 and Fridays between 2:25 and 2:40.
- You may park in the faculty parking lot and enter the cafeteria through Door 14.
- If noone is present to let you in at the door, call the main office at 617-559-9500 and someone will let you in.
- You will take the food from the cafeteria (expected to be one or two boxes) and deliver it to the Newton Community Freedge at 420 Watertown Street.
- It is fine to bring children to the Freedge, as they can help unpack the boxes of food and stock the refrigerator and pantry.
The Freedge is a 24/7 refrigerator and pantry that provides free food and personal care products to anyone who needs them. For more information about the Freedge, which is a volunteer-led initiative organized by the Newton Food Pantry in collaboration with other local organizations, see https://newtonfoodpantry.org/get-involved/newton-freedge/.
