The first rule of Badge Maker's Support Group is you do not talk about.... No wait, you DO talk about your badges!
Q. What is the Badge Maker's Support Group you may ask?
A. It is a place where Humans and Badgemakers can get together and to the things Badge Makers and Humans do.
Q. What is this form for?
A. This form is for signing up for an hour long time slot to support your badges. Once signed up you will receive an email from our team confirming your reservation. JUST BECAUSE YOU SIGN UP HERE DOES NOT MAKE IT A DONE DEAL. Make sure to reach out to us if for some reason you do NOT hear from us (support@dcmakerscommunity.org)
Q. What do I get with my hour-long time slot in the Maker's Community?
A. You will have a 10 chair round table reserved reserved for ONE HOUR in the Maker's Community to answer questions, distribute pre-sales, repair/construct badges (We have soldering iron kits available), whatever your heart desires.
Q. Can I sign up for more than one block?
A. TBD...We want EVERY badgemaker to have the opportunity to sign up for a time-slot, and looking at the unofficial Google-Sheets(https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1POGyxIY4eBrXeD2hWqKz8fm9uuuy7yG1XwhVF1pnmzI/htmlview) there are currently 90+ custom hardware badges coming to con this year while we only have 36 total time slots.
Q. What if I want more than one block of time or want to share a time block with another badgemaker?
A. If you want to sign up for more than one block of time or want to share a time block with another badgemaker please reach out to make arrangements.
Q. Will this schedule be made public?
A. Yes, it will be published at https://dcmakerscommunity.org/2024_schedule on Monday August 5th 2024.
Q. May I (the badge maker) share my time slot once confirmed by the Maker's Community?
A. Yes! If you would like us to link back to your project from the schedule, please make sure to include your URL in your signup.
Q. What if my desired time slot is already reserved?
A. Please reach out to us so we can help arrange other accomodations.

Q. Can I distribute Pre-Sales in the village or at DEF CON?
A. Yes! It is encouraged every day, around the village, anywhere & everywhere at con.
Q. How do I sell my badges on the floor?
A. You don't. BUT you CAN distribute pre-sales. No cash or credit payments should happen at the LVCC unless are a registered vendor with the LVCC.
Q. You forgot something didn't you?
A. Ah clever maker you are, you noticed we didn't mention trading/swapping badges! There will be scheduled time for that 4p-6p Saturday Badge Maker's Meet, Greet, and Swap. As MANY badge makers are welcome to come in and trade.
