PAID - Onsite After School Enrichment Program Managers (2-3 needed per quarter) signup sheet
When school is in session, Green Lake Elementary opens its doors to a rich variety of local organizations who provide fun and engaging after-school activities like parkour and Pokémon, coding and robotics, basketball and chess, and MORE. Our teachers and staff are done for the day, and they’ve headed home, so our vendors and our students need someone onsite to make sure programs run safely and smoothly.
This position is so important that we offer a small stipend of $25/hr PLUS one free enrichment class for your student each quarter, paid by the PTA. Ideally, we’ll split the role between 2 or more people according to their availability, so you only do the days that work for you.
Responsibilities
During programs
Make the rounds at the start of class to note attendance and check in with program teachers to remind them about students who have known medical needs. If a student is missing, text and email the parent to ask if they were picked up, or to let them know that the student is on their way home instead.
Be available to support any students that need to leave early, ensuring they are picked up by an approved adult.
After programs end
Document all late pick-ups (10min or later) and notify the Enrichment Coordinator.
Help facilitate any carpools and/or “walking school buses” that have been arranged by the Enrichment Coordinator.
When all vendors and students have left, lead a walking school bus to Cedar Crossing to see students safely home.
Time commitment
3:15PM – 5:30PM Mon-Tue-Thur-Fri, and 2:00-4:00PM Wed when After School Enrichment is in session each quarter (Fall, Winter, and Spring). We'll do our best to split the work up so it’s not all you; please reach out to express your interest and we’ll set up a schedule that works for you!
PTA support
The After School Enrichment Program Coordinator will support and oversee this role, to ensure the Program Managers have what they need in order to be successful.
