Volunteers are needed to prune back plant growth on our beautiful Lions Bay trail network between now and Canada Day! We're looking for individuals, couples, bubble friends and families willing to sign up and commit to visiting your section of trail at least twice between now and the end of June to clip back growth encroaching on the trails, especially when new growth starts to explode around mid-May. If you're handy, you're welcome to make extra efforts to reinforce steps, spread bark mulch, etc. but we're mainly looking for folks who like to clip. No experience necessary. Please bring your own clippers and practice social distancing. If you like, post your "before and after" photos on the Lions Bay Neighbours Facebook page or on Instagram using hashtag "#lionsbaytrailmaintenance" so we can all admire each others' work and encourage each other! Please feel free to email John Dudley if you're not sure about the section descriptions or need some pointers on what to do when you're out there: jhdudley1@gmail.com. Many hands make light work! A great way to celebrate Lions Bay's 50th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of Centennial Trail!
