Hello Volunteers!
Here is a brief description of the job duties required for each position...
The door marshall welcomes all visitors to the festival. They sell the programs to those that would like them, and control traffic into the main performing area while there are performances happening.
A music marshall is responsible for collecting all performers music from the upon entering the venue. They will mark the performer as absent or present. When the music has been compiled, you will bring it up to the Adjudicator secretary.
The adjudicator secretary sits with the adjudicator for the session. They announce each individual performer prior to the performance, hand the music to the adjudicator in order of performer, and record the marks in the festival binder. You also have the fun job of putting the seals on the performers certificates.
The venue host welcomes everyone to the festival venue. They welcome the adjudicator, and present the rules of the festival at the start of the session. They record start times of each performance in the program. At the end of the session they announce the end of the session and upcoming sessions.
