No Motors Tuesday is an event in the park where we close the road from 6pm-8pm to give walkers, joggers, bikers, strollers, skateboarders, roller-skaters, etc., a chance to use the park's road without the interference of motor vehicles. We need the main volunteer (team leader) to pick up the stop sign, water and cones from the office, drop them off at the 1st gate, continue on and notify anyone in the park that we will be restricting traffic from 6-8. If they don't want to stay till 8 they should leave before 6pm. Then leader returns to 1st gate. At 6pm they'll set up the stop sign and cones and stop every vehicle coming to the gate that it's No Motors Tuesday and they can turn around at the kayak launch. The only exception is if they are camping. In that case, we must let them through. However, advise them to go extra slow. When finished, replace all items where they were found.
Keep track of the number of participants on notebook. (provided) When finished bring all supplies back to the office where you found them.
There must always be 2 people at the minimum doing this activity. I will leave room for extra volunteers to sign-up.
In case of bad weather (lightening or heavy rain) notify Jan 4197-769-1983 and she'll post it on Facebook and email.
Everyone must wear orange volunteer shirt. Bring your camp chair or sit at the picnic table.
Thanks for keeping this tradition going for over 20 years!
