2026 5K Fun Run Volunteer Sign Up

The Costumes for Kids 5K Fun Run is a fall fest and 5K that benefits local foster youth. Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation (YC4KF) is looking for volunteers on the day of the event and on 24th of October to make this event a success! Below you will find the event details and volunteer roles and opportunities. Feel free to sign up for more than one role.

-Event details: October 24th, 2025, from 9:00am-12pm at the Prescott Courthouse Square (120 S Cortez Street, Prescott AZ - On the Gurley Street side)

-Volunteer Roles:
1. Pre-Event Volunteers: These volunteers will come to 3281 Bob Drive in Prescott Valley AZ at 3:00 PM on Friday October 16th to help prepare for the event. Duties will include stuffing race-day bags in an assembly line type of production and creating Morale-boosting posters.

2. Set up: These volunteers will be responsible for helping YC4KF staff set up their booths, food tables, water stations, marking the vendor booth spaces (10x10), setting up the race day arch, and assist with vendor set up.

3. Morale Boosters: These volunteers will be assigned to different locations around the route. They will hold morale-boosting signs and cheer for runners as they pass. They will also be responsible for making sure runners who fall behind obey the traffic laws as the roads won’t be closed. Some locations will be responsible for offering water as well.

4. Tabler's: These volunteers will help manage the event pre-registration and registration booths. Also, the YC4KF table during the event and be responsible for selling raffle tickets.

5. Photographers: These volunteers will be responsible for taking photos/videos during the event and sending them to info@yavapaicasaforkids.org afterward.

6. Food Handlers: These volunteers will be responsible for serving pizza to the participants after the race. These volunteers cannot be allergic to latex as they will need to wear gloves to serve the pizza.

7. Timekeepers: These volunteers will be stationed by the race start line and are responsible for recording the time and bib numbers of the first 25 runners. One volunteer will be responsible to making sure the top 3 runners stick around to receive their awards.

8. Clean Up: These volunteers help with cleaning up the space after the event ends at 12:00PM. Duties include taking down tabling materials, taking down the water stations, throwing away trash/emptying trash cans, loading materials back into YC4KF staff cars, and driving items back to the office in Prescott Valley.
