2026 Up Your Alley Volunteers signup sheet

Join us in promoting the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District at this year’s Up Your Alley Fair on Sunday, July 26th! The street fair is from 11 am to 6 pm. Volunteering at the Outreach Booth or the Gear Swap n Shop is an easy way to connect with community.

Set-up:
- Arrive at 9 am to help set up our booths
- Hang banners and set up tent canopies
- Arrange promotional materials at the table.
- Set up attractive display of gear and toys

Outreach Booth
- Warmly greet patrons who come to the booth
- Shares information about the District (palm cards available at the booth that lists what the District does!)
- Encourage folx to join our newsletter list, volunteer, become a member as a means to support and know what is going on within the District
- Build positive relationships with community members
- Sell bandanas/pins (Training provided by either Cal; prior download of the Square app is required)
- Assist with taking gear and toy donations

Gear Swap n Shop
- Greet and engage guests, assist with gear as needed
- Be watchful for theft (call out "I need to talk to Alan Selby" if you need assistance)
- Maintain display and restock as needed
- Assist with taking gear and toy donations
- Money handling - requires prior download of Square app and training by Cal

Tear Down
- Pack up gear and outreach materials in the appropriate bins
- Take down canopies
- Assist with returning everything to workshop

We ask all our volunteers to please report to the Outreach Booth 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your shift to check in and for any additional instructions. You will report to Cal (District Manager)
