From 10:00 to 2:00 pm.
At Maintenance Building in Lower Parking Lot at Monora Park
Several season staff members will be there distributing ski equipment.
Your task is to Promote and explain Volunteering at Mono Nordic Ski Club.
Take note of the Poster hanging just inside the door List some Volunteer Tasks.
Depending on the weather, and due to the close quarters, I suggest meeting Members just outside the door. Communicate the following Blurb.
Greet people and ask....
"Are you a (1) new member or (2) returning member?"
#1 "If you are a new member this year, you automatically received a reduced NEW MEMBER membership rate. As a NON PROFIT organization, we rely on our members to Volunteer if they are able. If you volunteer 4 hours/Individual or 8 hours/Family this season, you will receive the same rate next season, otherwise the membership rate doubles. Most of our Tasks are listed on the webpage, under the Volunteer Tab. Our Volunteer season runs from Nov 1 to Hallowe'en Oct. 31st., so you have ample time to secure your hours. Task requiring Volunteers vary, so check out the webpage to find something that meets you skills and availability and sign up. If you are unable/choose to Not Volunteer, your next ski season Membership rates double.
#2 If you are a Returning Volunteer Member... thank you for supporting the club, donating your time and adding to the Club's Base.
#3 If you are a Returning NONVOLUNTEER Member, your membership is valued and perhaps in the future, when you have the time, please consider assisting with Club Tasks.
