Bellevue Society for the Arts’ Children’s Theatre presents THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY JR., Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Hirt Theater at 205 Maple Street, Bellevue.

Based on the best-selling book series, Stanley folds his way around the world with his flat-tastic hijinks.

The beloved children’s book written by Jeff Brown is a literary and pop culture phenomenon, delighting readers all around the world. And now, everyone’s favorite two-dimensional hero has a new life in THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY JR. Its filled with infectious songs and non-stop adventure.

Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday 10-year-old until the bulletin board on the wall above his bed comes loose and falls right on top of him. The next morning, Stanley wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley — the ultimate exchange student — scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He’s stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to become a three-dimensional boy once more.

Stanley’s journey takes him all across the globe, to many interesting locales, filled with lots of colorful characters.

THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY JR. is directed by Juliet Russell of Bellevue. Carol Shanaman of Bellevue assists. Bellevue’s Joshua Higgins serves as Music Director. Gabby Russell of Bellevue is Choreographer as well as Student Stage Manager. Nick Jarrett of Bellevue is Parent Stage Manager.

Tickets are $15 adults 18+, $10 adults 60+, and $5 under 18. Tickets are on sale beginning Aug. 2.

BSA’s Children’s Theatre is open to all children, ages 7–12, in any school system.
