National Day of Service: Reservoir #3 Cleanup - signup sheet

"September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance is the culmination of efforts, originally launched in 2002 that promotes community service on 9/11 as an annual and forward-looking tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, and those who rose up in service in response to the attacks." nationalservice.gov

Reservoir #3 in the Heights is often nicknamed the "Hidden Gem of Jersey City," but only can be maintained with the help of community members. Let us come together in support of a space shared and loved by residents of the most diverse city in the county.

When to arrive
-- Between 10:50am and 11:00am

Where to arrive
-- Pershing Plaza Gate, across from the Pershing Field Pool entrance, between Central and Summit Avenue, The Heights

We ask you to bring
-- Your preferred set of work or garden gloves (we wish to reduce plastic waste by not using disposable gloves), clothes that can get dirty (long pants recommended), water bottle, bug spray and sunscreen

Accessibility
-- This event will involve walking along a sometimes rocky trail that is akin to a steep staircase, and may involve some rock scrambling or navigation through brush along a hill.

Contact
-- Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah Burroughs, if you have any questions or concerns at jcrpavolunteer@gmail.com

We will start at 11:00am to allow for community members to participate in the morning memorials if they wish. We will also participate in a moment of silence on social media.
