EVENT UPDATE [7/8/2020]:
The 29th Annual Haleʻiwa Metric Century ride, normally scheduled the last Sunday of April was postponed to June when we received event guidelines and social distancing protocol from our government back in March. As we continue to monitor the situation and realize our transition back to closer to normal event conditions may be gradual and require more time, we have moved the Haleʻiwa Metric Century ride to Sunday, July 19, 2020.
We are committed to the safety of all of our riders, volunteers, and supporters and will be following recommendations from the CDC and our local government in regards to moving forward with our events. We will also determine how we can run registration and aid stations safely for riders and volunteers. We will be putting in place extra safety and sanitation measures at the events to protect our event participants and volunteers.
We encourage you to sign up for shifts if you can for the rescheduled event date, as we are still looking to have a fantastic event come July when this whole situation is cleared up and everyone is even more eager to hop on their bikes, get out there, ride and have fun! Please know that HBL staff are working assiduously to make sure all possible precautions will be taken to have the event be safe; keeping riders, volunteers, and supporters health as the top priority.
The Hale‘iwa Metric Century & Aloha Fun Ride, HBL's 2nd largest fundraiser ride, would not be possible without 200 amazing volunteers who contribute before, during and after ride day. Please feel free to sign up for multiple shifts, and invite your friends and family!
If you'd like a complimentary HBL shirt for your volunteer shift, please indicate your shirt size (XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL) next to your last name.
Example: Alika Lee (L)
