LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District - Dore Alley Volunteer Sign-up

Join us in promoting the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District at this year’s Dore Alley on July 28th! The street fair is from 11 am to 6 pm. Volunteering at the Outreach Booth is an easy way to connect with community.
Set-up:
- Arrive at 9 am to help set up our outreach booth.
- Hang banners and set up tent canopy.
- Arrange promotional materials at the table.

Outreach Booth

- Warmly greet patrons who come to the booth
- Shares information about the District (palm cards available at the booth that lists what the District does!)
- Encourage folx to join our newsletter list, volunteer, become a member as a means to support and know what is going on within the District
- Build positive relationships with community members
- Sell bandanas/pins (Training provided by either Cal or Reika)

Step & Repeat Photo Taker & Barker!

- Stand with the step and repeat to encourage folx to take pictures with the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District backdrop
- Take photos of patrons utilizing their phones
- Encourage folx to tag SFLeatherDist or #SFLCD and follow us on social media
- Engage and be friendly with patrons wandering through Dore Alley
-Encourage folx to stop by the Outreach Booth to learn more about the District!

Tear Down

- Arrive at 5:30 pm to assist with the breakdown and storage of the outreach booth materials
- Take down banners and help with organization back into bins.
- Break down tent canopy.

We ask all our volunteers to please report to the Outreach Booth 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your shift to check in and for any additional instructions. You will report to either Cal (District Manager) or Reika (Program Associate/Board Member).

We will send out additional information as we learn where our booth will be set up at Dore Alley! We are so excited to see you there and thank you for your support!
