This working bee is for the school community to help remove branches, cuttings and other garden waste to a skip for disposal, trim and tidy up overgrown areas, clearing garden beds and spreading mulch on selected garden beds to prepare them for planting.
While this is a family event, parents must supervise their children at all times and are responsible for their safety and behaviour. There will be sharp tools and heavy items being carried which may create hazards. For your protection, wear long sleeves, sturdy shoes and long pants.
Hand tools, gloves, dust masks, wheelbarrows and some safety glasses will be provided by the school but families can bring their own if they would prefer. Some tasks would be easier with the use of electric hedge trimmers, blowers and pruning saws but the owners of these tools must be the only ones to use them and to take responsibility for their use.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided for all participants.
Meet us at the table next to the canteen where you will receive induction training, your assigned task and to sign in for house points.
The sign-in sheet has shift times outlined but if you are unable to help for the allotted or full time, we are still very grateful for any assistance and time that you can provide.
If you have any questions, please contact John Lee on the day on 0402 128 396.
Your support is very much appreciated and will help the school to continue to provide a beautiful and safe environment for our children to grow and learn.
