Volunteer Support / Volunteer Lounge Attendant
Role Overview:
Volunteer Support Attendants are the welcoming hosts of the Volunteer Lounge at the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show. They help ensure that all Fair volunteers feel appreciated, cared for, and supported during their shifts. By maintaining a comfortable lounge space, offering refreshments, and assisting with volunteer needs, they play a vital role in keeping the volunteer team energized and motivated throughout the Fair.
Responsibilities:
Greet volunteers as they arrive for shifts and provide a warm, supportive environment.
Manage sign-in and sign-out sheets for volunteer shifts.
Keep the Volunteer Lounge tidy and stocked with refreshments and supplies.
Answer questions about schedules, breaks, and Fair logistics.
Direct volunteers to their assigned areas or connect them with supervisors.
Provide encouragement and appreciation to volunteers for their service.
Report any concerns or issues to the Volunteer Coordinator.
Skills & Qualities:
Friendly, welcoming, and supportive personality.
Organized and reliable, with good attention to detail.
Strong communication and people skills.
Team player with a positive, helpful attitude.
Time Commitment:
Flexible shifts during the Fair (October 7–13, 2025).
