2026 St Stanislaus – Southwest Parents for French Immersion (SWPFI) Casino Signup Sheet
Tuesday, October 6 & Wednesday, October 7, 2026
Pure Casino Edmonton
7055 Argyll Road, NW
Edmonton, AB, T6C 4A5
🎰 Want to make a BIG impact at St. Stanislaus… in just one shift? 🎰
Our school has an exciting opportunity to raise funds through volunteering at the Pure Casino Edmonton on October 6 & 7 — and we need your help!
Before you say “I’ve never done this before!” … good news:
✅ NO experience is necessary
✅ Training is provided on site
✅ A paid advisor will guide you the entire time
✅ Meals are included
Why volunteer? Because casino fundraising makes AMAZING things happen for our kids! And it can actually be a lot of fun!
Past casino funds have helped St. Stan's:
🎨 Bring in Artists-in-Residence
📚 Purchase new books
💻 Buy Chromebooks, iPads, smartboards & other tech
🛝 Build our playground
Our last casino raised nearly $80,000 — that’s more than $300 per student going directly back into our school community!
We need 36 volunteers (plus a few on-call helpers) to make this fundraiser a success. Every shift matters, so please only sign up if you can commit to being there that day. Being on time for your shift is EXTREMELY important. You are welcome to sign up for shifts on both days, but you must work the same position for each day you sign up. Volunteers are not allowed to gamble in any way at the Casino or consume alcohol or drugs during our two day event.
Casino Personnel will refer to our group as South West Parents for French Immersion (SWPFI), which is St. Stan’s fundraising society.
Grab a friend, sign up for a shift, and help support the amazing opportunities our kids enjoy every day at St. Stanislaus! ❤️
To help you decide which role might be best for you, here is a brief description of each:
General Manager - oversees the other volunteer positions and fills in, as needed, to allow for the other volunteers to take their breaks.
Banker - controls chips in cash cage as well as oversees cashiers' payouts.
Cashier - cash out players' chips (provide cash in exchange for the value of the chips). Must be comfortable counting and handling money.
Chip Runner - waits in volunteer lounge for calls. When called, proceeds to cash cage and delivers chips to poker tables. Opens/closes tables with casino staff at the beginning/end of each day.
Count Room Supervisor - assist the hired Count Room Advisor with duties in the count room.
Count Room - sorts, counts, records or amalgamates cash pulled from game tables.
The General Manager, Banker and Cashiers all work in the cash cage together and are guided by a hired Cash Advisor.
Back-up On-call Volunteers - in addition to the above roles, we would like to have a set of volunteers to call on in case something comes up for one of our families and they are called away during their scheduled shift.
