The annual St Margaret's Fair is held on Moormead each summer it is a real community event with several components being operated by the Fair via the local schools. The money raised by the fair pays for a Christmas Lunch for local OAPs, supports local charities via a ballot and then the rest is divided amongst the schools. St Stephen's manage the Stewards for the day which means we help with set up and then control access to some of the areas during the day. It is normally not as onerous as it sounds and everyone has fun! We need people throughout the day but particularly for the morning to help walk the cars safely onto the field so stall holders can set up and the evening to walk them off. In the evening I do not mind if you have been at the fair all days and the supervised children can be a great help ! Ideally it is easier if people can help in 2 hour slots but I am happy for 1 hour slots if you cannot do 2 - just email me and I will adjust joannna.e.hall@gmail.com
