Lunch Production - Join up with other volunteers at The River Food Pantry to prepare hundreds of lunches in a few hours! While most of our volunteers are individuals, we welcome organized groups to help out, such as: Teams from churches, college/community organizations or employees given time off by their companies to do community work. Teams of 8-10 can make over 800 lunches in 2.5 hours. Volunteers must arrive for their shift on time, wearing close-toed shoes, long hair tied up and with good personal hygiene. They must be able to follow simple directions and work well in a team. We accept volunteers of all ages, but remember, this is work, everyone signed up will be asked to be an active part of production.
