Docent Training: Biodiversity Education Center at Coppell Nature Park signup sheet

Are you passionate about environmental stewardship? Do you enjoy learning about the natural world and sharing your knowledge with others? Consider becoming a volunteer Docent with the Biodiversity Education Center at Coppell Nature Park. BEC Docents are adult volunteers who receive training to take a leadership role with activities such as guided hikes, field trips, learning stations, and group service projects. Docent training provides information about BEC programs and services, event logistics, safety protocol, and a sample of activities that a volunteer Docent might facilitate. Newly trained Docents may assist tenured Docents or staff with activities until you are comfortable leading independently. Call 972-304-3581 or email BEC@coppelltx.gov for further assistance.
